Quotes & bookings

Prices are in AUD and exclude 10% GST unless stated otherwise. A booking is confirmed once you accept the quote and a 40% deposit has been received. The remaining 60% is due within 30 days of the deposit payment and no later than one week before the event. Once you approve your quote, your date is held until the deposit is received, for 7 days maximum; if the deposit has not been received within 7 days, Le Private Chef may release the date for other requests. We accept bank transfer, credit/debit card and PayPal; payment details are included in your invoice. Menu selections, final guest numbers and dietary requirements must be confirmed at least 7 days before the event. Travel is quoted for your location, and a public holiday surcharge applies to private chef experiences on public holidays.

Cancellations

If you cancel your event, your deposit is not refunded. If you cancel within one week of the event date, the entire balance is payable. Catering orders cancelled less than a week before the scheduled delivery cannot be credited. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Delivered food & returns

Because our food is perishable, we can’t accept returns. If there is a problem with a delivered order, contact us within 24 hours on 0433 809 980 or at enquiries@leprivatechef.com and we’ll work towards a fair resolution, which may include a partial or full credit — for example if you received the wrong items, dietary requirements were not met, items were missing, or the order arrived damaged or spoiled.

We may not be able to offer a credit for orders not collected within a reasonable time after the delivery window, or for food damaged by storage or handling after delivery.

Gift cards

  • Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase. The expiry date is printed on each gift card.
  • Gift cards can be used towards any Le Private Chef service booked in Australia, subject to availability. If the booking costs more than the gift card value, the balance is payable at booking. Any unused balance remains available until the expiry date.
  • To redeem, quote the gift card code when you make your booking request. Each code can only be used up to its value.
  • Gift cards are not redeemable for cash, except where required by law.
  • Gift cards are GST-free. GST applies to the service when the card is used, and the card can be spent on the full GST-inclusive price.
  • If the payment for a gift card is refunded, the gift card is cancelled (or its value reduced for a partial refund).
  • Please keep your gift card safe — treat the code like cash. Contact us immediately if you think your code has been misused.
  • No fees are charged for using a gift card.

Food safety & allergies

We take allergies seriously and plan menus around the information you give us. Please tell us about all allergies and dietary requirements when booking. While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee that dishes are free from traces of allergens.
